Dr. Carlos Fasola received his medical degree from the Universidad de Chile and then completed a residency in general surgery and fellowship in multiorgan transplant at the University of Minnesota, which included research in transplantation. Dr. Fasola is an accomplished surgeon in pediatric and adult kidney, pancreas, and liver transplantation, with extensive training in living donor liver transplantation in children and adults. In addition to transplantation, he has keen interests in dialysis access and outcome analysis. Dr. Fasola is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons.
Additional training includes pediatric living-donor liver transplantation and adult living donor liver transplantation.
Special interests include kidney, pancreas, and liver transplantation, multi-organ transplantation and dialysis accesses.
