Changes Due to COVID-19

Patient and staff safety is the top priority at Methodist Transplant Specialists. In addition to CDC guidelines, we are taking necessary precautions as our doors remain open at this time. Please, review the following clinic policies prior to your appointment.

Clinic Policy Changes

  • In compliance with CDC guidelines, we have updated our clinic policies. All patients and visitors will be screened prior to entering the lobby. If you are experiencing fever, cough, or shortness of breath, we ask that you reschedule your appointment and do not come into the clinic.

Remember

  • Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, and shortness of breath
  • Prevent the virus from spreading by practicing good hand hygiene: Wash hands often for 20 seconds and encourage others to do the same
  • If no soap and water are available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
  • Disinfect surfaces, buttons, handles, knobs, and other places touched often.
  • Stay home if you are sick, except to seek medical care, and avoid close contact with people who are ill

The Department of State Health Services also recommends social distancing to avoid catching or spreading illness. This means avoiding gatherings, skipping the handshake, and staying at least 6 feet away from others.
