Welcome Dr. Zahid Vahora and Dr. Vichin Puri!
We are pleased to announce that Zahid Vahora, M.D, Transplant Hepatologist, and Vichin Puri, M.D., Hepato-biliary/Pancreatic and Transplant Surgeon, have recently joined our practice at The Liver Institute at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.
Dr. Vahora relocated from Greenville, NC to join us in Dallas. He will treat patients in the Dallas as well as the Richardson clinic. He completed his internal medicine residency at Case Western Reserve University MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland, OH and gastroenterology fellowship at East Carolina University, Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC, then completed a hepatology fellowship at Florida Hospital Transplant Center, Orlando, FL. He is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, American Gastroenterology Association, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Vahora participates in various clinical researches and is actively involved in medical education.
Dr. Puri relocated from Nashville, TN to join our team in Dallas. He will serve patients in the Dallas clinic. He completed his general surgery residency at New York Hospital Queens, Flushing, NY, and then completed his fellowship in Abdominal Transplant Surgery at Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. He is an Instructor in Fundamentals of Critical Care Course (SCCM) and is certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Society of Transplant Surgery.
All of us here at The Liver Institute at Methodist Dallas Medical Center are extremely excited to have both physicians on our team, as they provide a high level of skills to the Group, and allow the continued development of the transplant programs at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.
